Biography
Jenn Ruddick is the Policy and Campaigns Officer at ASH. Prior to working at ASH Jenn completed an internship at the British Heart Foundation and worked in Parliament for an MP. She graduated with an MA in Public Policy & Governance from the University of Sheffield in 2012.
Emily James is the Policy and Campaigns Assistant at ASH. Prior to working at ASH, Emily completed a Masters in International Development at Bristol University, and interned with the British Red Cross.
Debbie Smith - I have worked in Public Health for seven years; now as Public Health Specialist and as formerly, Policy Manager within the Local Authority. I have a BSC (Hons) degree in Social Policy and have undertaken a Policy and Planning lead across a number of departments across Kent County Council, including the Kent Youth Service and Kent Social Care. I also a sound working background in Social Marketing and in Health Inequalities where I have been fortunate to work with partners such as the National Social Marketing Centre and Chris Bentley (respectively).
Hilary Wareing is the Director of the TCCC. She was involved with implementing smokefree legislation in England and was a lead in the implementation within mental health settings. She is currently involved in reducing the prevalence of smoking in pregnancy, promoting smokefree homes, and supporting local authorities to review the commissioning of services to reduce prevalence and help people to quit.
Hilary is part of the CLeaR training team and is a Core Assessor. She is a member of the Smoking in Pregnancy Challenge and Smoking in Pregnancy Communications Groups and is a topic expert adviser with NICE Quality Standards.
