Biography
Hilary Wareing is Director of the Tobacco Control Collaborating Centre. Hilary was involved in the implementation of Smokefree legislation in England and took a lead role in the implementation within mental health settings. The area of work she is currently involved in includes smoking in pregnancy, smokefree homes and secondary care, smokefree mental health and prisons.
Hilary is part of the ASH CLeaR training team and is a CLeaR Core Assessor. She was also a professional member of the Public Health Programme Development Group for the NICE guidance Smoking Cessation in Secondary Care.
Tina Williams is the Project Director: Development & Training for Tobacco Free Futures, formerly the NW Office of Tobacco Control and now a community interest company. Tina’s career in the field of tobacco control began in 1999 as one of the first Smoking Cessation Service Coordinators in the country.
Passionate about her field of practice; developing and testing innovative approaches and training to tackling tobacco related health inequalities and breaking the intergenerational cycle of children and young people’s exposure and addiction to tobacco are her key priorities.
Tina’s background is in nursing and teaching.
