Dr Kamran Siddiqi Clinical Senior Lecturer in Epidemiology and Public Health, University of York
Biography
Kamran Siddiqi is a medical graduate with specialist training in chest diseases and public health. He is currently based at the University of York and leads a research group on lung health within the department of health sciences. He doctoral thesis topic was on the quality of TB control in Latin America and his post-doctoral research was focussed on the association between tobacco use and TB. He also serves in the Public Health Advisory Committee for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE). Currently, he chairs the tobacco section within the International Union Against TB and Lung Diseases.
