| The UK Nicotine & Smoking Cessation Conference is organised for the field by a social enterprise, Exchange Supplies. Exchange Supplies is a social enterprise that was established to develop harm reduction responses to illicit drug use, they are the UK's leading supplier of injecting equipment. We organised the first UKNSCC following an approach from conference programme director Andy McEwen who had attended our National Drug Treatment Conference, and was seeking to develop a similar event for the smoking cessation field. With promotion of human health, and the development of the field rather than profit as our primary aim, we are different from commercial conference organisers in that we are able to commit to running an annual conference for the forseeable future and invest the conference income in bringing the best possible speakers from around the world to speak to UK audiences, the best free online conference archive, quality venues, and professionally organised events. Exchange Supplies is an ISO 9001 accredited organisation, which means that we have a full set of independently audited proceedures designed to continually improve the conferences we organise.
