Biography
Linda Bauld is Professor of Health Policy at the University of Stirling, Director of the Institute for Social Marketing and Deputy Director of the UK Centre for Tobacco and Alcohol Studies. She has a background in applied policy research and for the past 15 years her research interests have centred on the evaluation of public health interventions. She has conducted studies on drug and alcohol use, inequalities in health and, most notably, on tobacco control and smoking cessation.
She is a former scientific adviser on tobacco control to the UK government and currently chairs a number of public health advisory and funding committees for NICE, Cancer Research UK and the Scottish government.
