Biography
From the 1st of April 2013, Dr Laura Jones will take up a lectureship in the School of Health and Population Sciences at the University of Birmingham. Prior to this appointment, she worked as a Senior Research Fellow in the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Nottingham. Laura led the development and initiation of a clinical trial to test the effectiveness of a multi-component intervention to reduce children’s exposure to secondhand smoke in the home. Earlier in her career, Laura worked as a research associate in child health at Loughborough University, where she was awarded a PhD in Human Sciences in 2008.
