Biography
Sam Fahy is an epidemiologist currently working as a Research Fellow at The University of Nottingham. Her research interests centre around evidence-based improvements to clinical practice. Sam is currently funded by the National Institute for Health Research through a Programme Grant for Applied Research; this is a large programme of work which aims to improve the reach and effectiveness of NHS support for smoking cessation in pregnancy. Prior to her current appointment, Sam was working in the field of cardiovascular disease risk prediction at King’s College London where she was awarded her PhD in 2011 in genetic epidemiology.
