Abstract
Many stop smoking services use text messaging as a way to enhance their service. This presentation will discuss the different ways services can use text messaging, and will look at the aims of current systems and messages and any related impacts and outcomes. In this presentation we will discuss the content and efficacy of texts for different purposes. Finally, the presentation will consider the cost effectiveness of using text messaging .
