Abstract
Employers provide a valuable channel of influence to generate quit attempts amongst routine and manual smokers. By targeting companies by industry sector and size, valuable partnerships can be developed to deliver effective stop smoking interventions in the workplace.
This presentation will focus on the experience of NHS stop smoking advisers in delivering effective stop smoking support in the workplace. It will discuss the various types of interventions used and associated results through case studies. It will also discuss different strategies for employer engagement, particularly how national marketing partnerships with leading brands such as Asda, O2, Tesco, and Sainsburys have helped provide valuable support to their staff to quit.
