peer-led intervention for schools.
- DH Systems Based Approach to Stop Smoking Services in
Secondary Care implemented in thirteen Acute Trusts.
- Regional Smokefree Alliance network set up with active
involvement of all localities.

Five innovative projects were funded.
- Trial to support pregnant women to stop smoking using a
mixture of intensive support from trained advisers and
voucher reward scheme.
- Interactive website set up with virtual discussion groups.

to support World Class Commissioning.
- Smokefree South West supporting IDeA programmes with
two local authorities.
- Benchmarking Study undertaken in 2008 and 2009 to enable
baseline and comparison of work across the region.
- Innovative Tobacco Control module delivered at University of Bath,
- Successful multi-media campaigns: ‘One Way Street’ which directed
