Abstract Yorkshire Smokefree is a new and exciting stop smoking service provided by South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and covers 7 demographic areas which include Kirklees, Calderdale, Wakefield, Barnsley, Sheffield, Rotherham and Doncaster. Quitters can access the service by means of a telephonic hub and choose from the following three options:
• Telephone support
• On-line support including live chat
• Face to Face support in many of the locations across the 7 districts.
Telephone support is delivered from a central hub serving all areas across the Yorkshire Smokefree region 7 days a week with a qualified advisor who is on hand through extended opening hours to provide motivation and support by both telephone and text.
Yorkshire Smokefree’s new online quit programme is available 24/7 from computers, phones and tablets, and allows users to create their own personal plans, set a quit date and chat online with a stop smoking advisor during extend hours.
More traditional face to face support is available in convenient locations across the region. Five town centre Yorkshire Smokefree Quit Shops across the service area gives local quitters the opportunity to drop in and receive support from trained staff.
