Only 10 minutes from Birmingham International Airport, the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel is one of the UK's largest conference hotels. Located on the site of the NEC, the hotel has excellent conference facilities with good transport links to the city centre.
Travelling from Birmingham International Airport
From Birmingham International Airport, bear right onto Concorde Road, turn right onto Vanguard Road and then bear left onto Airport Way. At the roundabout take the 3rd exit then merge onto Coventry Road A45 (sign posted M42, M6, M1, M40, M5, Coventry). Branch left (sign posted M42, M6, M1, M40, M5, NEC), then at the roundabout take the first exit onto Pendigo Way (sign posted NEC). At the roundabout take the first exit into the car park of the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
Due to major security measures in force at Birmingham Airport, the Hilton are no longer permitted to use their courtesy bus service direct to or from the airport. Delegates travelling from Birmingham Airport can use the free telephone to call the HIlton courtesy bus service at the airport meeting point (signposted with the Hilton logo) then take the mono rail to Birmingham International rail station where the shuttle bus will be able to collect passengers and take them to the hotel. The journey takes approximately five minutes.
Travelling from Birmingham International Train Station

The Hilton is appoximately 10 minutes walk from the Birmingham International railway station. However, from Birmingham International railway station, delegates can use the free telephone to arrange a collection to the hotel, by courtesy bus. The bus stop is Bus Stop C and located next to the taxi rank in the bus depot. The journey to the Birmingham HIlton Metropole hotel takes approximately 5 minutes.
Travelling from Birmingham New Street train station

From Birmingham International Train Station, free buses are available to take you directly to the Birmingham HIlton Metropole hotel. The journey normally takes around 10 minutes from the station to the hotel. If you are travelling from Birmingham Airport, please catch the free mono rail to the NEC Train station where you are able to take the hotel courtesy bus. To book the bus, please use the yellow free phone which is situated approximately 10 yards to the left of WH Smith, near the train platform.
By Train
From Birmingham New Street Station, take the train to Birmingham International Station. The journey normally takes around 10-15 minutes depending on the time of day. At Birmingham International Station, use the courtesy telephone to ask for the hotel bus to pick you up. The journey from Birmingham International Station to Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel takes 5 minutes by courtesy bus. The 24-hour service runs every 30 minutes. Delegates can use the free telephone in the airport to call the hotel and ask for the bus to collect them.
If you are planning to use the free Hilton courtesy bus service to pick you up from any of the above locations, we recommend you call the Hilton a few days before your arrival day at the UKNSCC to check that the courtesy bus service is operating on that day.
