Film world premiere: '20 a day' - The Act on Smoking documentary
Abstract
This is the first chance to see this documentary charting the highs and lows of a public health project, from conception, through planning and onto delivery. The film follows the project managers through the progression of what is now a nationally recognised model of practice, gauging the attitudes and beliefs of the young people involved, teachers and health professionals. The film, written an directed by debutant film maker Dale Beaumont-Smith, will be issued to six thousand year nine students across South West Essex as part of the Act on Smoking project, as well as appearing at various International film festivals in the coming year.
